Luz y Fuerza - We Can Fly (1971)
Don't know much about this except that its from Mexico in 1971, and its heavily influenced by popular North American beats, even sing in perfect english. The mp3's are better quality than the video... not stellar quality, but better.
Some pretty great songs on here.
Download.
Black Sugar - Viajecito (1970-72)
Gem of my recent music hunting. Psychedelic era latin funk from Peru.
Super special for me cause I have family roots in Peru. And brain roots to funky rhythms, so this is like an ecstatic experience all around.

Four Twonski... Reggae fits right?
An old Bob Marley album.
And then an album from 5 of his sons, Damian, Stephen, Ky-Mani, Julian, and Ziggy.
(Posted all of them even though I only really listen to Damian and Stephen, I mean the others are allright, but certainly don't stand out like Damian or Stephen.)
Bob Marley-Nice Time (1973)
Damian Marley-Halfway Tree (2001)
Stephen Marley-Mind Control (2007)
Ky-Mani Marley-Radio (2007)
Julian Marley-Awake (2009)
Best of Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers (2008)

Guru died yesterday. Gangstarr made some incredible smooth hip hop music. Alway real, influenced many. DJ Premier is a legend of golden era production, and on his beats, Guru's smooth voice had many a head noddin' and influenced a whole new generation of emcees and deejays.
Pay respect.
A rarities compilation, and Moment of Truth, their most succesful album.

Freaking out about how bloody good this guy is. I'm not the biggest fan of folk but I seriously cannot get over this music, beautiful, soulful, remarkable, brilliant.

Moka Only... oh wait I mean nah, his cousin Ron Contour
Honestly I LOVE this album. Big fan of Ron as an emcee, and Factor has some crazy nice production on this, and versatile too. So far my favorite release of 2010. Very close to being a Banger all they way through the album, which is rare for my ears.
Get it...
